Simplicity makes first charitable donation to earthquake victims

Published on 16/11/2016

We're delighted to let you know we've made the first charitable donation on your behalf.

We've teamed up with Spark Foundation's Givealittle to make a $3,000 donation toward charities involved in the Kaikoura Earthquake Relief: The Red Cross, Salvation Army and Marlborough Search and Rescue.

We donate 15% of the management fee you pay to charity, and it started accumulating from our very first member, 10 weeks ago.

It's a small start, but every journey begins with a single step.

After 10 weeks, we're also saving members over $300,000 p.a. in fees, an average of $150 each.

If 10% of all KiwiSaver members are with Simplicity by 2030, we would be managing over $20 billion for our members, and could donate over $10m to charities, every year.

Please tell your friends, so together we can all be richer in retirement, and help great causes.

And thanks so much for helping our fellow Kiwis during a very tough time.

All the best,

Sam and the team at Simplicity.
