Published on 05/09/2018
Today we’re announcing a $72,000 donation, our largest ever, to Lifeline in support of its ‘72 Club’ project.
Lifeline is New Zealand’s leading provider of suicide crisis, counselling, and community support helplines.
Our donation will help fund their helpline, which receives 10,000 calls a month from Kiwis in need. For many, it’s their last hope.
The extent of the mental health problem in NZ is shocking. Last year there were 668 suicides in New Zealand, 1.7x the road toll.
The '72 Club' was conceived as the antithesis of the infamous '27 Club'; a group of young artists and celebrities whose lives were cut short at age 27. Watch the video below to learn more.
As the inaugural sponsor of ‘72 Club’, we’re asking other Kiwi businesses, and especially those in the finance sector, to give too.
With Simplicity, 15% of the management fee you pay goes to charity. It’s what we do %)
It’s wonderful to be helping Kiwis in their hour of need.
Your membership of Simplicity has made this happen. Thank you %)
