Labour's infrastructure spend is underwhelming, opines Sam Stubbs in his latest opinion piece for Stuff here.
"I never thought I would be underwhelmed by a $12 billion infrastructure spend. But times have changed, and I find myself pretty ho-hum about it all.
The Government called it a once in a lifetime opportunity. If it really is, they seem to have grabbed it with only one hand.
Part of its underwhelming nature is the predictability. Being election friendly meant giving the green light to shovel-ready projects previously approved by National. It's a shame projects sorely needed had to wait for the electoral cycle to kick in."
