I fear making economic predictions. One of my favourite quotes is that economists have predicted 10 of the last 3 recessions. At home, I'm quickly reminded when I'm wrong.

And whenever anyone says 'this time it's different', it's a red flag for me. There are very few new ideas out there, and those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.

So while I'm predicting that interest rates will be low for a long time, I am relying on history to show we've been here before, and often.
