Our Charity

At Simplicity, we believe in giving back, something the financial services industry isn't famous for. From day 1, we've given 15% of our fees to the Simplicity Charitable Trust. In consultation with our members the Trust decides which charities receive support. Our guidelines are below.

Our Approach

The Simplicity Charitable Trust supports activities that benefit New Zealanders, and NZ natural resources, at risk.

Proposals focused on youth, environment and climate change, education and financial literacy, and homelessness are more likely to receive support. These are our priority areas, as identified by Simplicity members.

Overseas organisations and projects are ineligible.

All enquiries should be directed to info@simplicity.kiwi with the subject line 'Simplicity Charitable Trust enquiry'. Please be patient - our Trust operates via volunteers %)

Our trustees will review all enquiries. Those chosen to move forward will be invited to submit a formal application.

Tree Planting

We focus on causes that matter to our members.

Planting trees is a simple and effective way to mitigate climate change, reforest New Zealand and enhance native wildlife habitats.

We want to plant a native tree for every Simplicity member. We're off to a great start. We have already planted 2,500 trees on Motutapu Island. This year, we're planting 15,000 trees with Trees that Count.

The more members we have, the more trees we can plant. Simple %)
